How To Bodypaint A Superbowl Themed Corset
How To Bodypaint A Superbowl Themed Corset
One of the most popular weekends all year in all of North America is the Superbowl weekend in early February, without a doubt. Come Superbowl Sunday and you can find pretty much every single sports fan anxiously leaning forward towards a TV screen somewhere, eating food and drinking suds. Well what better way to liven up a Superbowl party at a bar than having the servers bodypainted in the competing teams jerseys!

In this tutorial you will see how I render this lush blue Colts themed sports corset on model Nicole step by step.
Artist: Joshua Andrews
Model: Nicole
Photographer: Armando Chin
Duration: forty five minutes

The first thing that I ask models is if they have been painted before and if so, with what and what were the circumstances. Secondly, I ask them if they have any allergies whatsoever or in particular any skin sensitivities or issues that I need to know about. Thirdly I ask them if they have any lotions, cremes or oils on their bodies.
The models answers determine my next course of actions which either start with cleaning the model or not.
I try to touch my models as little as possible, believe it or not, because this is the professional manner of how to relate to models. Therefore, when it comes to cleaning and intimate things like that, I leave that to the models themselves to do or to helpers and assistants for big projects. If a particular job calls for paint on the models pelvic regions and even below in the choda area between the asshole and the balls, then I will only spray the paint. I will not brush paint or sponge people there because it is the best method and most efficient method of dealing with that entire awkward situation.

Nicole was happy to be painted live in front of people however she was not comfortable with her nipples showing and so I always have tape on hand to cover the models.
Using a 3 inch wide flat brush I mark the shape of the garment and then once it is all morked off, I lay on washes of Snazaroo brand blue puck paint thick.

Symmetry is really important in the very beginning. Once everything is marked off and proper, filling in the color is easy and fast.

I like to see laces on my garments. Part of the illusion of creating a garment that is sitting on the skin instead of painted on it is using laces and created a drop shadow to add the third dimension. I also do not like to cover women’s backs with painted garments generally because I believe that the open back is attractive.
I create the lace by making symmetrical marks in white paint freehand, everything is done by freehand.

The laces are painted on freehand but what they need is shadow.

Oops. I was pressed for time and I accidentally did straight lines for shadows instead of what I was supposed to. It happens.

The NFL Football team the Colts horseshoe logo was painted on Nicole’s breasts and white beads panted on the bottom of the garment.

More beads.

Vertical seams were then painted on the sides at equal points. AFter that, some white was lightly sprayed onto the areas between the seams. After that, various dots were sprayed on. Once that was complete I painted little dots o nthe horseshoes.
